lyrics

He sees the world quite clearly but emotionally he is colour-blind.
He can’t see the reflections of his actions in the mirror of his mind.
To him image is everything.
His logic must be of another kind than mine.
So unlike me.
I cannot imagine.

A worthless piece of paper is a precious document,
seen through her eyes.
Although she knows where her husband goes
she always tends to put up with his lies.
She only needs to watch the bold and beautiful
to format her disguise,
how nice.
So unlike me.
I cannot imagine.

He’s got this grand agenda filled with righteous plans
and such appealing schemes.
Drawn up to delude the masses,
manipulate them and orchestrate their dreams.
Somewhere down the line
public opinion may have slid between the seams,
it seems.
So unlike me.
I cannot imagine.

He spends his life devoted to an overgrown, imaginary friend
who comforts him and explains away
anything he doesn’t comprehend.
Proof, to him, is unnecessary, reasoning so inconvenient.
The end.
